Unforgettable Series Debut
So I’ve actually watched three shows that have premiered this season but am choosing to only briefly mention the first two before talking about Unforgettable because they’re not worth more than that. First up, I watched Ringer, which was supposed to be Sarah Michelle Gellar’s triumphant return to television. Maybe it’s me because I was never really into Buffy, but I found for all the hype of the show, it was disappointing and rather…blah. The other show I previously watched the debut for was Camelot, which shouldn’t be mistaken for BBC’s Merlin, which although is much campier is also better. Despite the very fine behinds of Eva Green (Morgan) and James Purefoy (King Lot) it’s terrible. Don’t watch it. The problem is the casting. Specifically the uninspired and totally bad choice for Arthur – I don’t even care enough to look up the kid’s name and Joseph Fiennes as Merlin is just wrong. Enough said, let’s move one shall we?
So the concept here is that Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery) remembers EVERYTHING. Literally. She used to be a cop but left because her sister’s case was shut down and she couldn’t handle the terrible things she had to see and hear. Understandable since she can never forget them. Since then she moved from Syracuse to New York and is volunteering at the old folks’ home where her mother is a patient (ironic that she should have Alzheimer’s and so is unable to remember anything, including her daughter) and by night she takes illegal casinos for a ride. A woman in her building is murdered and she gets involved in solving the case, as a consultant, not a cop and in the course of doing so remembers things about her sister’s murder she never has before. Investigating the case is her old boyfriend, Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) and he’s backed up by a seemingly solid cast of medium-known talent.
I think the show has potential. It’s an interesting, even fresh concept to a cop drama, there’s some reasonable talent as well as some better known faces fronting the show. I’m reserving judgement for now but would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?
I’ve had no trouble as yet (and cross my fingers that I don’t). I’m always leery of technology and so I save extra copies of everything.
