Rookie Blue – Cold Comforts

Cold comforts indeed. Did you see that? Did you see Swarek turn away from McNally rather than sharing his grief with her? That and not wanting to talk to her says it all. There’s no need to have seen the commercial where he declares he can’t be a cop and be with her to know there’s trouble brewing for these too. The question is will he cut and run like a chickenshit or will he brave it out? Guess we’ll find out in the next 50 minutes.

My heart just aches for Ollie, sitting there drinking alone with only Jerry’s scotch to keep him company. How is it that he’s head and shoulders above the entire rest of the cast when it comes to acting?

In case you haven’t gotten it, Peck is avoiding everyone and not talking about her abduction because she feels guilty. Normally I would blame Peck because she always takes the chance to be the center of things, but in this case, its survivors’ guilt.

Tonight’s case: Find Jerry’s stolen computer, find out what was on it and protect those exposed. But will solving this case bring any of them closure?

Stop being contrary Swarek! I don’t like this side of you, he’s a real jackass. Even while I watch Swarek break McNally’s heart and his own I know he’s doing it because he doesn’t ever want to face what Tracy is going through now and can’t bear the thought of putting McNally through that, but it’s just dumb! I’m so mad at him for being an idiot right now!

Finally Peck gets something right. When Tracy can no longer read Jerry’s wedding speech that Diaz and Epstein found in his desk, she takes over for her. And then she even lets Collins put his arm around her in public. Has this incident softened our favourite bitch? I hope not.

Why did Swarek fight so hard for McNally if he was just going to cut and run? And who keeps calling? We’ll all just have to tune in next week to find out.

And that’s my 2¢ for today.
