Rookie Blue Girls’ Night Out

After a two week hiatus, Rookie Blue is back! But there’s still no sign of Detective Luke. I suspect that character might be gone for good.

Episode Recap

We’re still dealing with the aftermath of Epstein’s fatal shooting – or rather he’s not dealing with it and that’s what we see. And Nash catches her first case: dead guy in a car that was apparently hit by a car containing a trio of inebriated women from a stagette. I’m a little surprised that Nash looked ill when she first looked at the body, but let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and say that it was just her nerves.

And the plot thickens. The dead guy didn’t die in the crash but of a knife wound.

While our beloved rookies are all working Nash’s case to various degrees, Epstein is busy reminding Ollie that he’s not seeing his kids (although that isn’t really Epstein’s fault as much as I hate to admit it) and bringing groceries to the family of the boy he shot. He goes on to take the sister for a driver, at her request, and tell her what happened. It does not go well and then Epstein goes home and lies to his girlfriend. The guy just can’t help screwing up.

My thoughts on the episode.

It’s about time that Nash got a good storyline and some more screen time. What pissed me off was the way the case got going. If Nash was good enough to pass the test, then she would know something as elementary as you can’t move the body (even if you’re moving the whole crime scene) until the coroner clears it.

Diaz is such a nice guy. He deserves someone good; maybe even someone good enough to make Peck jealous/realize what she lost. Not that she’s really losing out by making time with Collins.

Chill out from the heat and tune in next week for the next episode of Rookie Blue. Then of course, come here to find out what I thought of the show. Did you watch last night? What did you think of Rookie Blue – Girls Night Out?

And that’s my 2¢ for today.
